WWP Independence Program
The Wounded Warrior Project's Independence Program helps warriors live life to the fullest and on their own terms. The Independence Program is designed for warriors who rely on their families and/or caregivers because of moderate to severe brain injury, spinal cord injury, or other neurological conditions. As a result of their injuries, the warriors’ cognitive or physical challenges may limit their opportunity to access activities and resources in their own communities.
The Independence Program utilizes a team approach, bringing together the warrior, family, and his/her full support team to identify goals and to create an individualized plan. The Independence Program is designed as a comprehensive, long-term partnership intended to adapt to the warrior’s ever changing needs.
The Independence Program provides support and training for involvement in meaningful social and recreational activities; the promotion of wellness activities; the exploration of volunteer and educational opportunities; and addressing other life skills such as household chores and budgeting.
Neuro-Rehab Management, Inc. is proud to support the Wounded Warrior Project’s Independence Program by providing assistance to warriors in their communities.
